Dan Abnett's first Warhammer 40,000 trilogy centred around the activities of the Imperial Inqusition, Eisenhorn, by and large had a laser-sharp focus on the main character, but one of the more memorable supporting characters was Ravenor, Eisenhorn's apprentice. The hook occurred with the first sentences of Ian Watson's magisterial trilogy The What makes Eisenhorn different from the usual Black Library volume is it spends most of the time amongst the ordinary and everyday in the grim 41st millennium. I preserved my sanity by rediscovering Warhammer 40K, this time in the omnibus editions of the Black Library novels I found in the local Barnes & Noble. I have to say overall that I liked the I actually enjoy omnibuses, at least of Warhammer 40k books, because they're usually about $15 and contain three or four books which individually would cost $24-32 (Averaging about $8 a book) and it takes up less shelf space than the individual books. It was a nice re-introduction into this world. Essentially, the Omnibus describes the exploits of an Imperial Inquisitor. I've recently started reading some books dealing with the lore of Warhammer 40k and am a little overwhelmed when shopping on Amazon. However I ;ve never read any of the 40k expanded universe stuff. Eisenhorn (A Warhammer 40,000 Omnibus ) . As far as an introduction into the Warhammer 40,000 universe, I can think of no better. What movie are you most looking forward to this year? In the second book of Whilst I might have liked Ravenor a bit less if I were reading the book when it came out - it's very slightly lacking in closure - as the first third or so of an omnibus it's pretty damn good. This is my second year reading Black Library novels and I consider myself still very inexperienced in the 40k lore. Eisenhorn by Dan Abnett, a Warhammer 40,000 omnibus and part 1 of the Inquisitor trilogy of trilogies. Being overall satisfied with Dan's writings I decided to pick up the Eisenhorn omnibus a while ago and finally sat down and got to reading it. I don't remember now why I picked up Eisenhorn, Dan Abnett's trilogy about an Inquisitor in the Warhammer 40K universe. The Desolation of Smaug, hands down.
