So, many…many…years ago when I was a teenager (before this here time of the interwebz) I read a book by professional groupie Pamela Des Barres called, I'm With The Band: Confessions of a Groupie. She's signed on to star in US cable channel HBO's new pilot, which will be based on the book 'I'm With The Band: Confessions Of A Groupie'. These days, i´m reading "I´m with the Band, Confessions of a groupie", AGAIN! I've never wanted to be a groupie at all, but if I HAD to choose, it would be for Myles Kennedy, the vocalist for Slash's current band. I'm with the Band: Confessions of a Groupie by Pamela Des Barres. He is also the ex-husband of groupie, actress and author Pamela Des Barres and is written about extensively in two of her books, I'm with the Band: Confessions of a Groupie and Take Another Little Piece of My Heart. Review by JD: I'm With the Band – Confessions of a Groupie by Pamela Des Barres. Fortunately, Des Barres inject humor into these accounts of degradation, which incarnate the subculture of beat music. Although the book was mainly recounts from other groupies, it soon lead me to Pamela's earlier autobiography I'm With The Band: Confessions of a Groupie. But that degree of restraint isn't easy when the network pulls a move such as this: Deadline Hollywood reports that the lovely Zooey Deschanel has agreed to star in a new HBO half-hour pilot called I'm With the Band: Confessions of a Groupie. My favourite band is the Rolling Stones, and my heroines and favourite women of all time are Marianne Faithfull and Anita Pallenberg, the stars of most of my posts. I'm With The Band by Pamela Des Barres. The project is based on Pamela Des Rather than a trashy tell-all, though, I'm With the Band has earned a reputation as being as profound and sad as it is funny, depicting the emptiness of groupie life.
